In November 2018 we bought this 1984 Land Rover 110 and started converting it into a camper. It is a right-hand drive and was refitted with a more modern and powerful Defender 200Tdi engine by one of the previous owners. It was in pretty bad shape, with a lot of rust issues on both body and chassis. The engine and drivetrain were still in reasonable condition though and only required some thorough maintenance, which was carried out by the specialist team at Land's End 4x4. We were super excited to finally get to work!

Installing all gear on the roof rack

Before we started this project we had no experience at all with Land Rovers, painting cars, building cabinets or installing electrics. The urge to fulfil our dream, hours of doing research online, reading books and with a lot of help and advice from other skilled people we managed to build the car that had been in our minds for such a long time. The whole build process was very exciting, with ups and downs, but we couldn't be more happy with the end result!
